With its massive four progressive jackpots, Power Mode booster, signature $2,000,000 WowPot! feature and thrilling Arabian theme, Wheel of Wishes is one of the most exciting new progressive jackpot slots game to date. Find out how the game works in our full Wheel of Wishes review below.
Exclusively designed for Microgaming by an independent studio called Alchemy, the game features 5x3 wheels and 10 paylines, with a maximum jackpot of 500x. Once you've decided on your bet size, you're ready to spin the reels. To play, simply hit the big circular button to the right of the reels to get started, then a random selection of symbols will fall into place. You'll win a prize if you manage to get three or more symbols on a payline and on adjacent reels, starting from the first reel.
Understanding the symbols in Wheel of Wishes is paramount if you want to gain a better understanding of the game. To help you out we've compiled a full list of all the symbols, including how much money they're worth, to give you a head start before you dive in to play the game.
Now the prizes start to become significant, as this symbol pays 50x your bet for five on a payline. It also substitutes for all other symbols, except the Wheel of Wishes.
You'll win 500x your bet when five Wheel of Wishes symbols are anywhere on the reels. What's more, getting two or more leads to a Power Spin.
The moment the game begins you'll have the option to select your bet size and choose whether or not to use the Power Mode feature which will increase the value of your bet 10x, but also activates a Power Spin on every turn, which may or may not be something you want to do. See more below.
The main bonus in Wheel of Wishes is the Power Spin, which is activated when you get two or more Wheel of Wishes symbols anywhere on the reels – something that happens quite frequently. When activated, reels one and five will fill with identical symbols.
The middle three reels will then turn into one gigantic reel, with 9x9 symbols. The massive reel then spins around. If a large symbol even partially lands on the reels and matches the symbols to the left and right, you'll win a prize.
If, however, you don't want to wait for a Power Spin, you can click the 'Power Mode' button mentioned above. The payout won't change, but unless you have a big bankroll, it may be something some players would prefer to avoid.
There are no free spins in Wheel of Wishes, which is unusual, but the other bonus features, and the progressive jackpots more than make up for this. Players can also activate the Power Spins feature from the start of their game, or if you've paid for Power Spins to be constantly active, you could then launch the progressive jackpot bonus game to be in with a chance to win the massive $2,000,000 WowPot! progressive jackpot prize.
One of the best things about Wheel of Wishes is its four progressive jackpots – all of which we outline below:
To win a progressive jackpot in Wheel of Wishes you'll first need to trigger or pay for a Power Spin. Once you've scored that, you'll then need to land the big Wheel of Wishes symbol so that it fully covers the three central reels. It doesn't matter what symbol is covering the first and fifth reels.
If you manage to do this, you'll then be asked to spin a wheel, just as you would in Mega Moolah, another slot from Microgaming with a massive progressive jackpot. The prize you win is determined by the wheel, which is powered by a Random Number Generator (RNG), but you're guaranteed to win one of the jackpots if you get the opportunity to spin the wheel.
One tip we'd mention is this, the more you bet, the better your chances are of activating the progressive jackpots bonus round.
Wheel of Wishes is a medium volatility/hit frequency slot, which means that you won't find this game holding back on wins for a long time - however you also won't see loads of small wins landing regularly either. A high volatility slot would generally provide large but infrequent wins, while a low volatility slot offers frequent but small wins. The Wheel of Wishes slot is somewhere in the middle.
It should be remembered that the progressive jackpots are far more volatile than the main game, though. In fact, you could play for days, or even months, without winning a progressive prize, before then scooping a progressive jackpot prize worth millions. Some prefer these high risk and high reward games, while others prefer slots that are a little more predictable.
Return to Player – often shortened simply to RTP – tells you how much you should expect to get back over a very long period of playing. All slots, even those with the lowest RTPs, can pay massive prizes occasionally though. It's generally the case that, despite their huge prizes, progressive slots offer the lowest RTPs.
In the Wheel of Wishes slot, you'll find an RTP of 93.34%, which is around average for a progressive jackpot slot. If the progressive prize is not considered though, the RTP is somewhere around 89%, which isn't the most impressive.
Wheel of Wishes does deliver high quality graphics, something we'd expect of any Microgaming slot, with everything element thematically designed to look slick on theme, and appealing, including the higher value symbols and the desert background. Our only complaint? We'd like to have seen some more original lower value symbols, as it seems that half the slots out there rely on generic playing card symbols.
There's no real animation to talk about at this slot, aside from a gentle pulse of the symbols when they form a winning combination and the ticking over of the progressive jackpots. Overall, this is a slot that has been designed very well, however some might think that it's all a little bit too basic for them. Of course, many others will be delighted with the simplicity of the Wheel of Wishes slot machine though.
The music in Wheel of Wishes, much like the graphics, are also on theme with swaying rhythms and a background of beating drums, reminiscent on Arabian nights. When compared to the music found in other slots, it's actually really good! Plus it doesn't get overly annoying after just a few minutes.
The sound effects however are pretty generic, with small knocks whenever the reels stop and a celebratory fanfare whenever you manage to hit a winning combination. Still, they're better than those annoying arcade sounds used at some other online slots.
As with every new online slot from Microgaming, Wheel of Wishes is compatible with all mobile and smartphone devices. This includes iPhones, iPads and devices running on the Android operating system. Mobile players can win the same progressive jackpots as desktop players, plus the same features are found, including the Power Spin.
If you want to play this mobile slot, you'll be able to do so at nearly all Microgaming casinos. Just head to the site using your browser and select the game. It will then load up straightaway. Alternatively, you might be able to play via an app, if one is offered by your online casino.
Whilst it's impossible to guarantee prizes when you play any online casino slot, there are a few things you can do to enhance your playing experience, and improve your chances of scooping the massive progressive jackpot prize.
There can be no doubt the fact that Wheel of Wishes is a fantastic addition to Microgaming's portfolio. Sure, there are a couple of issues, with the main one being the low RTP, however the four progressive jackpots – the biggest of which is worth at least $2,000,000 – make the game exceptionally exciting to play. The excitement only increases if you're able to activate or pay for Power Spins.
It's also the case that this slot is exceptionally easy to play, and even new players will understand what's going on after a few spins. So, whether you're looking to play using a desktop or a mobile, the Wheel of Wishes slot is certainly a game we would highly recommend.

Yes, you can play Wheel of Wishes for free at many safe online casinos, although you won't be able to win any money, including the progressive jackpots. A regular slot has a fixed jackpot, that never goes up or down. Conversely, a progressive jackpot gets bigger as more and more people play the game. This means that progressive jackpots can rise to become infinitely big. The chances of winning a progressive jackpot are lower though.
There are some casinos that will give no deposit bonuses to players, and these can be in the form of bonus cash or free spins. You could then use the money or free spins to play Wheel of Wishes, although it's rare for progressive games to be included. Check the terms and conditions to see if it is possible though.
Yes, you certainly can. Regardless of the mobile device you own, this game will adapt to fit on your screen and can be controlled using the touchscreen. Mobile players can win the same progressive jackpots as desktop players, plus all the game's exciting features remain.
If you're lucky enough to win the main progressive jackpot, you will be contacted by the casino you're playing at. They will undoubtedly want to do promotional material based around your win. The money will eventually be transferred to you, however the process won't be as quick as when just withdrawing a few dollars.
Wheel of Wishes is a new online slot machine, therefore there haven't been many big winners as yet. There have been plenty of smaller wins though (which can still be worth thousands), and some of the winners will have undoubtedly been from Canada.
The RTP of this slot machine is 93.34%, which is lower than average when compared to all slots, but around average for just progressive games. It means that, over a long period of time, you should win back $93.34 for every $100 you wager on the game. There's no guarantee you'll get this exact return on your bets though.
The maximum that can be won when playing this online slot machine is unlimited, as it offers progressive jackpots. So, for as long as the jackpot is not won, it will keep getting larger and larger. The minimum the WowPot! progressive jackpot will be is $2 million though.
